Al Gonzalez is the Chairman Emeritus of
AGE Refining, which he founded in 1991. Gonzalez was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and spent much of his childhood in the
predominantly Hispanic neighborhood of Agnes Street. Through sheer determination and plenty of part time jobs in refineries
around South Texas (including La Gloria Oil & Gas Refinery Company's Falfurrias Gas Plant), Gonzalez earned a B.B.A. in
Management from Texas A & I University in Kingsville. Upon graduation, Mr. Gonzalez joined Coastal States Gas Producing
Company in Corpus Christi, working with its refinery operations and personnel division.
Al Gonzalez believes in strong
values, an unwavering commitment to quality and a can-do attitude that can be summed up by one of his favorite phrases: "Whatever
it takes!" His positive approach to business carries over into how he spends his free time. A big believer in giving back
to the community, Mr. Gonzalez is involved in numerous civic and socially conscious activities, most of them focused around
